Hey guys, I'm making an RP map for the FaceWAN RP server. Post your suggestions/ideas here. Current list: * Colorful things * Gym * Cinema * Lots of houses * Respawning furniture * PD (cells) * Food shop * Furnished houses * Villas * Shacks * Non-removable furni > apartments * (6 floors > 1 floor = 4 rooms) > apartments * Size: inbetween evocity and oviscity * Working mail system * New textures * Lots of hidden areas * No jumping over counters * Sewers * Places for hobo's in sewers * (Almost) no bugs/glitches
I'd like lot's of hidden areas, like the secret trapdoor dungeons and the little room underneath the telephone booth in downtown. They can't do much harm, but they're fun to find. Also, it would be much more convenient if you made it so that people can't jump over the counters in shops like in the oviscity post office, you can't jump over you have to open the counter, so you can sell stuff without everybody jumping around and respawning everything. One more thing, I really liked the sewers in downtown, I liked to be a hobo living in a crappy train carriage or maintenance room lol. Also it was fun to pretend that there were cannibals and murders down there. One last thing: Try to make it as least buggy as possible, even less buggier than oviscity. I am so sick of oviscity, it's really not fun to play anymore.
Right now, I only got a start of the trainstation, because I always approach things with a "it's done when it's done" approach, but I'll make some screenshots.
I'm trying to learn how to use hammer. Right now I seem to be doing fine, I think I can make buildings, sky, entities, lighting, vehicles etc. One thing though: I can't seem to figure out how to make doors lol.
You can make prop doors by using the entity prop_door_rotating with the door model. You can make brush doors with func_door, and rotating brush doors with func_door_rotating.
