Okay so this guy named Killer talks to me on my Steam Friends but I never put him on there. Then he typed to me stuff about being he's a guy From SteamPowered.com and he says he needs my Pass and User Id and I just said fuck off Cuz I read at SteamPowered.com that NO Steampowered guy would ask for your password. Then the next thing I know I restart my computer then I go to play Gmod then Type my password What the Fuck? He scammed me. I know Scammed* is not the right word to use but really how? And im not gonna waste my money on CS:S and HL2 And HL2DM again so I guess ill just contact my friends on these Forums
When it happened I looked all over Steampowered.com trying to contact them but theres no way to do it.
Try this: https://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=197
"Please select STEAM from the Product dropdown and Account Questions - Hijacked or Stolen Account from the Category dropdown when Contacting VALVe Billing and Support to ensure your request is recognized as a hijacking report and resolved in the shortest possible time."
there's another guy like this, but it's a virus instead. his friends name is jneutron07. it is a specific type of virus that kills the hard drive by corrupting registry files. not to mention the master boot record as well.
Many people don't understand how viruses and worms spread! Working with computers and servers for a job, I know it is in no way possible to get a virus from just talking to someone on steam friends or any other IM service. The only way to get a virus is to accept a file from someone or run something from a web link, which is a dumb thing to do anyway if you don't even know who is sending it. It's like those AIM viruses, it relies on the user to click a link and run the file. (like sexypic.jpg.exe or something)
