How to fix the problem "Your !!version does not match the servers"

1) Create a shortcut to GMod by right clicking on it in the steam list and clicking: Add shortcut to desktop.



2) Open the properties of the shortcut.



and put something like this -> "C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 215 -game "C:\Arquivos de programas\Valve\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods\gmod9"

Note: You only need change for you Steam folder and in the line -game you need change for you gmod9 folder.

2º Note: For all this work need install the SOURCE SDK BASE !!!!

3º Note: Run the game in the shortcut in your desktop ;D

=-= If when u click in the gmod 9 folder on the shortcut, you see something like this "preparing to sdk base" , ITS NORMAL U SEE THIS !!!!

=-= For play in the servers of FaceWan only need run the gmod 9 on the steam list

=-= For play in other server run the gmod 9 on you shurtcut

so what must i type?

I dont know what u mean but what i only did is change the number of crogram files
to 215 Is that good?

 

i click on gmod 9 then i seee prparing to sdk base or something and its not gmod 9! why? and give pls answer to my other questions

I always did it like this:

Older steam owners:
C:/Program Files/Valve/Steam/Steamapps/Sourcemods/Gmod9/gameinfo.txt

Newer steam owners:
C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Sourcemods/Gmod9/gameinfo.txt

Open that, then Look for 'Steam AppID'...And change that number.
Make it: 220, to work on FaceWAN.
Make it: 320, to work on Other Servers.
..I think. ;D

 

yeah or u can just start a single player map, open console and type connect server ip

Gmod9 "Server is out of date"

Answer: Yes i tried changing my Appid to 215, because someone on facewan told me i need to in order to get my LAN server running, but now when i try to connect to facewan it says the server is out of date!!

I changed it back to 220 and i still have the same problem >.> HELP PLEASE!

 

SO.. I did all that... got the other servers working... BUT NOW I CANT USE THE CONSOLE!! HEEELP MEEE

 

hm wel this is rather frusterating i did ambers patc adn well.. .brando didnt update so. .how do i get his to work i tryed the connetct server ip but that crashed gmod 9
