I just got an Ipod for Christmas and it has already broken on me!!!! why!!!!!!!! This is my problem I accidentally let it go all the way dead, and now I get please wait very low battery and no matter how long I leave it plugged in my pc it does on charge. So I went out and bought a wall charger thinking that would charge it thinking that the pc wasn't charging it because it was trying to open I tunes draining it self. Now when I plug it into this new wall charger I get the same message except instead of it being a steady message it blinks off and on, and it still doesn't charge. My mom got this Ipod from my brother which got it from someone else so we can't return it. Specs: ______ Color = Ipod Black - Silver back Memory = 30 gigabits Kind = Classic PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME !!!!!! I love this thing. AND FOR YOU APPLE I HATE YOU! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING WITH UR FUCKING LOW LIFE SHITTY SYMBOL AGAIN!!!!!!!!! (
Let me see if I get this strait, the problem is that on the screen it says "Please wait, very low battery" or something like this..and when you plug it in or whatever, nothing happens..correct? I think I've had this problem before, or similar ones where the screen freezes and nothing happens (plugging it in didn't do anything for me either)..I believe all I did was let it be for a few days, until the battery was completely dead..but I'm not sure if it's the same problem..dunno, try what I said, and if nothing happens by the end of tomorrow, take it in to bestbuy or something :'( I hope things get better, but if not, I'm sorry for your loss :'(
Brando, search Google for your error and you might find something, I remember reading something a while ago about this issue somewhere.
When I left my mp3 on till the battery went dead, the same problem happened for me. Usually Li-ion batteries inside of the mp3's have a high reviving voltage so charging it with the USB from the computer only gives you 1 to 3 volt at the very least amperage. Sooo.... this is how I fixed my mp3 1. take off the squews of you mp3 to expose the inside case 2. there should be a battery (mines black rectangualar) 3. there should be two main wires running from the battery to the curcit board. 4.find the two weld point for these two wires and attach two different wires to the weld point. 5.make sure that the wires are insulated from each other and carfully place them outside of the mp3. 6. squew back on the mp3. 7.hook up two to three 1.5 AA volt batteries to the right terminals of the wires you have attached. 8. if you read the voltage capacity of your mp3's Li-ion it should say 3 voltage but if it is higher, make sure that you put a voltage 1+ higher to the wires that you have attached 9. this should give the mp3's Li-ion enough juice for it to start up and be charged with a computer. (WARNING) Do Not Apply Voltages +2 Higher then the Li-Ion battery itself. Make sure that you are carful when you are doing this. And here is the picture of my mp3 going under that process.
I DO NOT recommend you try the above methode..although there's logic to it, I think in this case (especially since there is no way to open the ipod anyways) it will cause problems. Try the methodes in Bojangles forums first (just follow his link).
does your itunes have a restore button..i have a itouch and when ever something goes wrong with it i just plug it in and hit the restore button... and it restores back 2 factory settings it's like getting a fresh ipod
