WTF! No server content?? WTF?! ok im mad because i just got gmod plus, and i played earlier.. and i was gone, and my gmod9crashed. says there is an error 5 that i have no steam server content or something, can anyone explain this? HAS GARRY FINALY DESTROYED GMOD9?!
Relax, I crash like every five minutes when I play online. Gmod is just unstable. Be glad yours spat out an error instead of just dying. (Well, mine throws an error too, but it's a Windows error after Gmod shuts down. Complains about a memory sector not being able to be read. I have another game throws the same error if a have a certain option on and there's millions of entities on-screen.)
I just downloaded all the mods for the server and now I'm getting that error, did you figure out which mod is crashing it?
This is not a mod error, it is another attempt by Valve to kill Garry's Mod 9, we are looking into the issue and should have a fix soon. It looks to me it just might be the fact the Source SDK don't work right now.

Long live the revolution against the oppressive Garry and Steam! Anyways, I managed to fix my personal problem with gmod9, but of course, when I started to play, I get this super-cool error! Very tragic.
"MountFilesystem( 236 ) failed: SteamMountFilesystem(4424,236,0x104bfc74=,0x104bfd74) failed with error 5: No Steam Content Servers are available" your error should look something like that. What you need to do is start Steam in offline mode. Then you can play Gmod9 in singleplayer. A possible way to play online would be to use a Steam emulator, those don't connect to Valve, so they don't give a flying fuck about what you play. You will only be able to play on our server, since that is a side-effect of how I patched SRCDS. You will get a STEAMID of STEAM_ID_PENDING when using a Steam emulator. That causes a problem with bans, and if we notice we will ban your IP. EDIT: I just updated the patch on the SRCDS, all cracked Steam clients will get STEAM_0:0:0. The error above is considered by Valve to be an "ongoing issue," basically they are too fucking lazy to fix it. All the error means is that the Steam content servers are too busy. Nothing more, nothing less.
This error should work itself out, perhaps later today or tomorrow. You can try a Steam emulator, but I'm not going to help you with it.
Steam Emu are a bad idea, if we ban 1 player on the emu, there all banned. If we use the steam id/name. as we cant ban my IP with ulx_ban, ect as we cant get ths ip.
new ive gone to de-installing and re-installing... I wish i had known it would have gone away earlier... Anyone have the like to get gmod? or anyone on xfire can send it? i tried downloading it before and i turned off computer accidently, so now i need to upload gmod again.

Maybe because I was playing Gmod fine, decided to go download the mods, downloaded them, and then I started getting the error? Seriously, why are you being such an asshole? I have done no wrong against you and you go off calling me retarded. Good fucking god. Some people.
The issue has been fixed! Valve fixed the issue I guess and Garry's Mod 9 and Source SDK are working now, so everything is back to normal, for now.
Frankly, I think the whole "VALVe is trying to kill Gmod9" thing is just mass paranoia anyway. If they really wanted to kill it, they'd have done it. Irrevocably. Something along the lines of a Steam update that makes it refuse to start Gmod9. But that could be bypassed by simply changing the game name, so they'd probably come up with something more extreme.
lols? when i crash out i get the BSOD (Blue screen of death) or my comp restarts... ..i just live with it realy and hope Steam dont kill Gmod9
