Alright I'd like to start out saying I'm not trying to start a religious debate. I just would like to know what people think.

I've been questioning my existence lately and I'm unsure if what I do really matters. The thought of dying doesn't scare me but for some reason (probably my human fear of the unknown) the thought of what happens after life is frightening. I've been an atheist for quiet some time and I've done my own research, read a lot of spiritual book, and have deeply searched my mind, but the only answer I've been able to come up with is that their is nothing. I don't remember what life was like before I was born so is that how it's going to be when I die. Just a thought..

Let me know what you guys think.. Thanks

Why spend your time caring about what happens when you're dead when you can care about what you can do now? There isn't much you can do to research this topic anyways.

The things that waste precious server space these days.. oh god why.

Edit: Upon initial reactions that I've been informed this post of mine is considered rude, I'd like to make a change here to say that if you are so curious about the after life then you need to give this show a go:

My thought: Don't waste time worrying what may be, just live your life and be happy, nobody wants to spend their life pissed off and grumpy. If you think about it, it's all about the good times, so make every day a good time.

    What Uragan and Espeon said.

I find religion as a whole nothing but a waste of life's precious time.
I'd MUCH rather worry about my mental health and make sure what I'm doing makes me happy.
Spending half my life in churches/praying/reading the bible is NOT required.
In fact I find it to be one of the most clever ways to rob people of their money and time.

That said, I don't go around telling religious people they're fools.
They can believe in pink oranges that will give them after life and 300 million virgins for eternity AS LONG as they do not force such a belief on me and/or hate me for it.

As for the topic of afterlife, I strongly believe its non existent.
EVEN if it is, I doubt there will be some god that will eternally damn me for not believing in him.
When you're told you MUST love something or you suffer for all eternity, you sort of lose all respect for someone that apparently loves you.

LIVE life the way that makes you happy, don't worry about the end. After all, there's only one life - make that fucker count.

    I type a lot.

I for one never believed in god, i'm a total science fanboy; i don't think there is anything after you're dead.
I don't know when this idea started, but ever since i have been thinking about death, i wanted to be frozen and revived when there's the technology for it.

I mean don't get me wrong guys i do live my life to the fullest and i love life. It think is a beautiful part of universal stability, but theirs something about death that doesn't sit well with me. Its great to hear all your thoughts about this and i will defiantly not worry too much worry about what is going to happen when I die and try to be happy with my existence and further progress the human race.

This is the reason religion exists I think. Something to make it seem less abrupt maybe?

I don't think you or anyone will need to worry about that when they die because you know, we'll be too dead to give a shit. Honestly, I just wouldn't worry about it; it's an interesting topic to talk about, but it's nothing to get worried about.

You original wasn't rude in anyway. You are a human being and you are in-tiled to say whatever you want about anything and i wont judge you for that.

But with that being this show actually seems pretty interesting. I'm not a huge fan of Anime of i will definitely give this show a try :) thanks for the suggestion

Probably going to receive some hardcore judgement from you guys, lol, but yes, I am a Christian. I respect the idea of logical thinking, fully. For it is very, very reasonable....however, I feel as if there must be something...greater...than ourselves. The human mind is so complex, and different from one another.

Anyway, im not going to go deep into my beliefs, so i'll give you this.

    I believe this body....is only a shell.

I believe the pressures of life are temporary, while the soul is eternal.
