    Reason for Unban: Server Glitch?

    I was playing in your FaceWan CS:S Surf Deathmatch server, and I found that my hands were disappearing (no visable viewmodel)

    Now I know that r_drawothermodels 0 could have causes this, because I could see player's shadows, but not their models. So what I tried to do was revert my models back to normal and I did r_drawothermodels 2 instead of 1 and it banned me saying r_drawothermodels violation. I think that it's kind of silly that the server would ban me for trying to fix something in my game.

    It would be nice to be unbanned as I do enjoy playing on your servers.

    Before you asked, yes I did reconnect and restart, but it's the server that didn't want me to see any models.

    How can you set r_drawothermodels to 2 without forcing it (using an external program)? It's a game cheat cvar and clients are not supposed to be able to modify it. Can you explain how you modified it?

Can't use cheat cvar r_drawothermodels in multiplayer, unless the server has sv_cheats set to 1.

    I'm not sure, exactly. But the server must had been set to sv_cheats 1 or something, because I could use other commands (r_farz, r_drawviewmodel) in addition to r_drawothermodels

    Wrong. The server never has sv_cheats enabled, I also checked the logs, and no instances of sv_cheats being 1.

    REASON I WAS BANNED: Was banned 3 times, so got a 1 week ban. 1 Ban was for an hour, the other 2 for 10 minutes I believe. All of them had something to do with spawn shooting/nading. That's all.

    I gawt bandeded

    Well I was playing on Counter strike GO servers.
    And since I swear a lot, I got gagged.
    I unjoin, and then I rejoin to get off the gag.
    And I don't know all the rules, spawnkilling and spawnshooting, that's one thing.
    But I got 1 hour ban, and I have 8 bans on record.
    I don't want a perma ban, because I love this server. I love it so much really.
    So, all I have to say is I didn't understand the gag avoiding thing, and I don't want to get perma banned.
    Also I haven't been banned yet, I just thought this was the place for the post.
    YEAH SORRY BAD GRAMMAR.
    MY GRAMMAR GETS MESSED UP WHEN I TYPE LARGE PARAGRAPHS.

    Just don't break the rules again and you will be fine. If you don't understand and/or know all the rules, feel free to ask one of the admins on the server.

    Reason: I clearly wasn't camping anywhere. Alpha Wolf Kodi went on a ban-spree after a few other people were camping jail and spawn in the Surf DM server. A new player to the game was complaining about me killing him whenever I saw him; this must be why Alpha assumed I was camping. Word of mouth is not ample evidence; apparently no one was taking the time to watch the accused. I play CS DM like UT2004: everywhere and nowhere. Come on folks.

    He banned you for spawn killing and spawn shooting. Do people ever read the reason why they got banned?

    is it really an offence to have a good score? anyone would get like wtf for beeing slayed cuz of having 0 deaths, its just stupid...

    Apparently, you were camping.
    After an admin slayed you for it, you were being an ass about it so the respective admin (DrogenViech) banned you for it.
    Infinity bumped it up to a week after that for reasons unknown by me. I'm sure there was a good reason.

    However in my opinion, if you think you were banned for having a "good score" then you deserve the length of ban you were given.

    I guess you really learned that your disrespectful ban protest wasn't going to get you anywhere.

    I'm not going to decide anything here but I think you should really stay banned. Thinking you got banned because of a good score is bullshit.

    I myself think that you deserve that week ban simply because of the fact that you were apparently being an ass about you getting slayed for camping.
    Also, the way you talk about the admin who banned you in the first place on the ban protest is just wrong. See Gate's post if you need to read your own complaint which I sort of think you'd regret reading again.
    I don't know exactly what happened between you and Drogen but I agree with Gate on this.

    warnings, you know that? he didnt even say i wasnt allowed to camp how could i know? he just said "omfg 44-0? just die already!"yeah yeah i could have read the rules, who does that anyway? and i just said he needed to grow up or something similar, look at the console. if you guys take offences on the internet so seriouisly thats just completely exagerated. im not talking shit right now im just telling my opinion (although im making effort to not) cuz im a nice guy ( :) ) if i took internet insults on the servers i own admin powers personally i would have banned like half of kids that joined our servers

    how about just give me a warning and tell me iam not allwoed to camp uhm? it would be nice.

    And here's why:
    1) You should of read the rules, most people that don't just end up like you.
    2) Trying to insult or tell an admin to grow up because of his decision get's you nowhere, just like Uragan says (calling someone you don't know a "kid", I'd take that as an insult).
    3) Taking shit seriously on the internet is not exaggerated, it's to keep away people like you.
    4) From all this talk, it doesn't seem like your a nice guy.. You're just being an asshole quickly trying to get this over with.
    5) Your current ban is a warning for what you have done, and next time just read the rules and no one will have any problems.
