Lately there have been a lot of people, especially people in the FaceWAN Steam Community group sending links to websites that advertise free Steam games or something of that nature. Please, disregard these messages as it is just someone trying to get your Steam account login/password. There is also another that wants you to type your Steam login/password in capitol letters for some verification, disregard this too, as it is also someone trying to get your account info. Report any of these people's Steam profiles here in this thread if you come across any.

And... thus why I posted this, because 4 other people got their accounts stolen so far from these going around, and then that person uses the stolen accounts to send that same website to all your friends and then it continues.

just so you guys know the one I had as my signature had nothing to do with steam... it was a website where you do surveys and get stuff ingame like wow gold or something

There's also people starting to use the "/me" command to trick people into thinking that they are from steam.

What really made me laugh was that after these guys make their bullshit sentence asking for the password and username, the top of the chat thing always says " Never tell your password to anyone."

    Like seriously...

I just got a message today about free games.

Course the guy was retarded and didnt put in any effort.

His name was ADMIN and claimed to be in one of my groups.

Luckily enough, I know pretty much everyone in the group, including admins.
