I bought GTA4 for PC on Steam and installed it yesterday. One thing, it's fucking 16GB, I had to clean up space on my main hard drive just to install it with 1GB free. After installing GTA4 and and launching it, I get error MMA10. So I do some searching on the steam forums and find out that the multiplayer is broken and if you even try to start the game logged in you get that fucking error. So I start the game logged out of that stupid fucking Microsoft Games Live shit and it gets to the menu. I try to configure window mode so I don't have to run the game in 1900x1200, but THERE IS NO WINDOW MODE OPTION. I look though the game files and find a readme saying I can use "-windowed" as a command line option, but I've tried everything, the SecuROM launcher does not even listen to the commands it's passed so it starts up in full screen. Oh and in the cutscenes, I have audio, but NO VIDEO. So right now I'm stuck with no multiplayer, low graphics that look like shit, fullscreen, and no video in cutscenes.

WAY TO FUCK IT UP VALVE/ROCKSTAR!!

Sources indicate this failure is a result of Gnomes throwing cats at Rockstar's headquarters during development.

    Wait... what?

    *hides*

edit: Can I turn in my 210 credits for prizes now?

Yea, if the game isn't developed by Valve, then it's probably good to just get retail. I've seen a few problems with the Call of Duty games. The only games that I haven't had problems with were the Max Payne series.
