So, I've got a bunch of requests for a skill surf server in the last few months and need ideas. Post what you think the server should have. I need ideas on the following: Maps: List any skill maps you want. Surf Tier: I am thinking any tier. Plugins: Maybe a timer? With some good information, I can get the server up quickly, and with maps/plugins that people want.

I am guessing that there will be the start and stop time gates. The plugin that ranks players is also a plugin I see on every surf server. If we are to use a time limit, I suggest having a minimum time limit for each map after a map switch. After that time has expired, the !rtv command should unlock. I find this useful because there have been many times where a player gets on a map before others and rtvs the map before anyone has a chance to beat it. I understand that the other servers have the 30 second limit but for a surf server, that is just not enough time to complete any maps. The servers I have liked had time limits of 10-15 minutes. Another extra plugin I think is fun is the !shop where you can buy hats and trails and other items. I don't know if that is a paid plugin or not but it is a fun thing that I know a lot of surfers like. (Some do dislike however because of the distraction when you look down) If you can't tell, I am very excited about this addition. I will help out in any way I can. Thanks a ton Espeon!!
I 100% agree with Bflat! I love this idea so much. I'd also like to add surf_aircontrol_ksf just because it's decently easy and would be good for teaching some people how to surf! So excited!
I -have- been working on something like this but I don't have the knowledge when it comes to sourcepawn. Yes, I realize there is already bhop plugins out there but I want to change it so it doesn't get abused.
What would be the abuse of a auto-hop on a skill surf server? I understand how it could be abused if we added it on the combat surf but I don't know what could go wrong on a peaceful skill surf server. If it is the abuse of speed at the start of a map, I know the start and end gate timers have speed limits in that area.
So I was surfing the other day and had a question. Some maps such as surf_utopia have surf styles on each server. Some have a momentum that carries after you are teleported back to spawn. This is used on maps to get map records. Some servers completely stop you when you respawn. What would you guys like to have?
Reset in velocity. I cannot stand when I have to telehop 4 times before every fucking run to get a top 10 score. I'm sure most if not all top surfers would agree that it's nothing but a waste of your time for the most part.
That makes sense. I like it on some maps like forbidden ways but I understand its kind of an exploit and can be hard to keep that fair.
If there is a cs go version for these maps, can you add the following surf_ember surf_eternal surf_overgrowth surf_the_distance
I have played on all four of those maps on CSGO. I will try to get the files together tonight and send them off to Espeon. If anyone has any more I would rather do a large collection of maps than only four so recommend any you would like that have not been previously mentioned. I will also do some research on maps to find some more. On another note, what are some plugins that you guys want on the skill surf server? Espeon mentioned to me that he doesn't know what skill surfers want so, if you have any suggestions please post them here.
Well for plugins, I dont know their exact names but. Timer Point System and Ranks ( For example, completing a map rewards you with points that will level up your "rank" ) *EDIT* If the map is a high tier, more points would be paid out upon completion AutoHop Stage Skip ( for those who just wanna attempt all the stages on a stage based map) Challenge ( Challenge another player to race on the map)
