In the latest update today sv_airaccelerate no longer works, looks like they totally killed it off! So I guess it's time for another game mode, any suggestions?
LAWL What a bunch of retards... A game won't be popular if you cant have more than 1 fucking game mode... Anyway, to keep the rant on Valve in a lockbox I'll stick to what I'd care for. Imo, a vanilla would be fine. Not that I ever play GO, but if I did, I'd probably stick to vanilla maps and most likely get the most entertainment out of it with that.
Well it's not like we lost anything that great. Surf on CSGO sucked, lets do 24/7 DM with thirty minute round/match time.(So one map lasts 30 minutes without any pause)
Is there no way to fix this using sourcemod? Some cvars are just hidden, just like valve did with sv_showhitbox or whatever it was called
It's not even hidden, it used to be very hidden and only accessible using +sv_airaccelerate on the start command line. Now it's totally removed from the engine.
Then there is another way to do it, if you join the surf server you just fall off the ramp when getting to the end. I need the settings for CS:GO.
Instead of just sv_airaccelerate 100, put sm_cvar infront of it Like this: sm_cvar sv_airaccelerate 100 sm_cvar sv_staminajumpcost 0 //disable slowing down when jumping sm_cvar sv_staminalandcost 0 //disable slowing down when landing
Actually I did not think of that one, I already had it in the server.cfg but it wasn't working, so I added it into the Sourcemod main config and now it works. Thanks for the idea, it's working again now.
One good thing that I can think of coming from this would be the fact that most servers aren't staffed by people with the intellect of most of the people here, and will not figure this out. Due to this, I predict that a decent number of servers will shut down due to this, and our server, which has been slightly more full than a black hole will become more popular.
I wouldn't expect to get a full server at this time in the year. School is still going on so a lot of the player base is probably busy with their own stuff.
