When the admins are away the Surf server has a really bad problem with people spawn killing. The general rule is no one should die in the first 10 seconds of the round. Is there any reason we haven't put in a simple 10 second spawn protection?
The server hasn't been up for a lot of time so there is a bit of "lag" before we have all the needed plugins on the server. I don't know if CSGO has any spawn protection plugins but I'll try to look into it and send one to Espeon.
I'll check and see if I can get a spawn protection plugin working on CS:GO, last time I tried it just didn't load at all.
Yes, when the admins are away, the cts will play... It would be very helpful. Even when I am on, people still blatantly ignore it and I end up having to kick people and or slay them. This way, They can't do anything about it, and they get to stay in the game. Idea - I believe that there is a nodamage command in source somewhere. Is there a way you can factor that into the server on a ten second toggle timer, here it toggles on at round start and off after 10 seconds?
This might be possible. Although the person who implements this would have to know a bit about LUA script and how a server works. There is also a script already made. GAMEBANANA: Spawn Protection (Counter-Strike: Source > Scripts > EventScripts Mods)
A solution! (?) Today, while being questioned by a general mingebag (who I ended up banning later, read story in admin only whatnot) why we don't have a spawn protection plugin, and I said there isn't a working one out for CS:GO yet, another kind player by the name of The Departed, a kinda-regular, said that the gun game server he plays on (Not official valve servers with valve spawnprotect, apparently) has a plugin, and to contact an admin there on the subject, or just analyze it , I guess. Here is the IP of said server - [snipped]
I put a spawn protection and anti camp plugin on the server just now. Let me know if I need to adjust the times any.
