This is what i have (don't laugh, the mainboard is shitty i know, bla bla):

    Harddisk: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB, SATA 6Gb/s (HD502HM)
    Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K, 4x 3.30GHz, boxed (BX80623I52500K)
    DDR3 RAM: ADATA XPG G Series DIMM Kit 8GB PC3-12800U CL9-9-9-24 (DDR3-1600) (AX3U1600GC4G9-2G)
Graphics Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti, 1GB GDDR5, 2x DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort (ZT-50306-10M)
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P67-DS3-B3, P67 (B3) (dual PC3-10667U DDR3)

Summ of all best prices: 576,50 Euro

I paid like 700 Euro rougly 7 months ago, i feel like a fucking idiot already - i hate buying computers, i only really buy new ones when the old one is a piece of shit (my old one had an intel core2duo E4300 (the one with 1.8ghz) 2 GB of ram, and a geforce 8600 gts with 512 mb ram... the intel bottlenecked the geforce i think)

Good god Snafu and espeon, you both got ripped off on your computers. I built mine for around $1,200 and run a i7 2600k at 5.2Ghz with 12GB RAM. The hell is wrong with people these days overpaying for computers.

I got close to nafrayu's for about 300 usd.
As for five, buying the cheapest parts doesn't really bring you long life.

Five, Why would you ever need 12 gb of RAM? That sounds like the rip-off lol;)

There's good reasons, but I doubt Five falls into a single category. :D

You just be jelly I run 16 GB of ram and only use 7 of it at a maximum when Minecraft goes apeshit.
And no, don't tell me I don't need that much since you obviously can't decide on how much ram I want. Hell, once I start getting some cash, I will get 16 more or even max it to 64 GB when I buy a X79 motherboard just so people can brag about not needing that much.

I wish I had that much RAM. But I only have 4gb and a 32-bit version of windows. Needless to say, anything advanced that I do in 3D rendering sucks because of memory limitations.

Why do I find that hard to believe?
Don't take me wrong man but an i5 2500k is 219$ alone.

I run some high power usage programs and use my computer as a server sometimes, so I need the extra memory when usage goes high. I usually use around 4-5GB on average, but when I'm working on high usage programs I am at around 10-11GB.
