Gameplay Suggestions Current RockTheVote system I really don't like the sudden switch right after the map vote. Half the time I can't even catch what map won. If it changed after the current round I think it would be a great improvement. Votekick From what I understand the current votekick feature is only usable by admins? This defeats the purpose of the votekick feature and would like to see one enabled to players. There's an admin there most of the time but not always. Spawn Protect Seeing this as a big problem in the server i would suggest a spawn protect. Countless times i see people complaining about being spawn shot or killed but with spawn protect this cant happen. Limit 10 seconds preferred. Scripting Fuck scripts END
It's nice to see someone giving suggestions on the forums. Anyways, I have no opinion on the map suggestions but I do have a few things to say about the gameplay. I completely agree with this but what if a map is glitched and a round cannot be completed? I say we should put a timer to counter that. I have to disagree with this, I don't know how long you've been playing on surf but about a year ago a bunch of kids would type votekick(even though it still wasn't enabled for players) and try to get people kicked for stupid reasons. That may have been a year ago but still I see plenty of people who don't understand the rules yet they try to get people votekicked. I don't like spawn protection because without it we can't weed out most of the idiots who do break the rules. If we did have some sort of spawn protection, I would prefer one that gives a warning on the first offense and bans the second time. I believe we got an agreement recently to disallow scripts but I need to confirm this, will edit my post once I figure this out. Anyways, great to see a player giving a large amount of suggestions, I hope we can help improve your experience on the server as well as the experience of other players.
I agree with most of, if not all, of what Balrog has to say. As for scripters, I'm working with Espeon to code in a security system that will automatically kick the people that do it. I'm sure he'll post when I manage to code it in. As for it being allowed, I was -told- all admins have the right to warn or kick a person that is suspected for scripting (by SMAC, mind you).
I hear everyone talk about scripting, and i don't know much about cs:s - what kind of scripts is everyone always talking about? Last time i tried binding jump to the mouse wheel was more effective than the alias-bunnyhop-bullshit Edit: We should also have voteban instead of votekick - votekicking is just utterly useless as it takes less time for the rejoin than for a votekick to finish.
I agree with most of your suggestions.. But I'll admit, I use an Auto Pistol script, it's great for dualies :D also, i use a Bhop script for when I'm laaazzy as fuuuck. But yah know, I could live with out em, their just nice to have for when im stoned and unskilled Both of em are just regular .cfg scripts and are available from GameBanana..
