I have been confused to a point recently when trying to play the public server today. When I try joining the server, the loading screen shows instructions on what to type in the console in order to crash the server (which makes it clear there is either a hacker or unruly admin), and when I join, there is some sort of wierd entity mumbo-jumbo stuck on my screen. What's going on?
Don't know what your talking about, you sure you went into the right server? (you may have clicked on it and steam messed up and moved where you clicked) I just joined now, as well as checked files and nothing is out of the ordinary. Either that or someone fucked with your game, because nobody else has this happening.
It's just some stupid server changing names and spreading GUI-Files via forcedownload. When you join any unknown server, it's recommended to set cl_downloadfilter to "none", so you won't be downloading any files when connecting.
